News for Friday, March 6th, 2015

  • The regular news presenters for WALA-TV's local 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. news programs for Monday through Friday (the names of the news presenters were Bob Grip and Lenise Ligon; the names of the news programs were "FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.", "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m., and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") were broadcasting from Selma as part of today's editions of those programs in observance of the aforementioned anniversary while the regular news presenter for Saturday and Sunday editions of the 9:00 p.m. news program (the name of this news presenter was Renee Dials) was substituting for them at their broadcast studio in Mobile.
  • One of the news presenters on today's edition of WKRG-TV's local morning news program (the name of the program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning") used one of its segments about the World Wide Web (the name of the segment was "Around the Web and Around the World") to rant about a computer he was using freezing shortly before the segment since computers such as this one were normally used for the program's segments about the World Wide Web and since one of the news items for the segments on today's edition of the program was about a person claiming the reason his personal Facebook account was suspended was due to a video recording of his self ranting about the president of the United States (Barack Obama).
