- The regular news presenter for WKRG-TV's local midday news program and local 5:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at Noon" and "WKRG News 5 at 5") substituted for one of the regular news presenters for their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6") today (the name of the substitute was Devon Walsh; the name of the news presenter for whom she was substituting was Rose Ann Haven).
- The live video stream for WKRG-TV had been without any of their local news programming or any other moving images since this past Tuesday evening (on March 3rd) shortly after it had video of the governor of Alabama (Robert Bentley) speaking at the capitol building in Montgomery, Alabama (the stream would usually switch back and forward between having a blank screen and an an image with the logo for WKRG-TV with the words "We'll Be Right Back").
- The digital TV programming guide in the cable TV system for Comcast Cablevision of Mobile had the words "Paid Programming" instead of "Motown 25" in its listings for a certain program its cable TV channels for Alabama Public Television's main programming were expected to have this Thursday, March 5th (between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.), based on the listings for it on the official World Wide Web site for Alabama Public Television (the full name of the program the channels were expected to have is "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever").
