News for Friday, May 13th, 2016
(the previous report for this weblog ("News for Thursday, May 12th, 2016") was updated)
- The sports reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) used part of their local 10:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 10") to say they would have a report about a person described as a "good sport" having "gone the extra mile to achieve" in their local news programming on a weekly basis this past Thursday (their first "Good Sport" report was part of the program that day: it was about a person from Mobile determined to teach certain folks how to stay safe while riding bicycles).
- WKRG-TV had a report about their broadcast operation having a new "sales office" (in the city of Pensacola in the part of the state of Florida within their local broadcast area) on their local 10:00 p.m. news program this past Thursday and their local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m and 6:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") this Friday (it had video of the manager of their broadcast operation (Mark Bunting) saying that they and their companion station (WFNA-TV, even though he had called them by their brand name ("CW55")) were "trying to make a further impact" in the community of Pensacola and that "just want to be more involved" in the community).
