News for Wednesday, May 4th, 2016
- WALA-TV had some special features for some of the local news programming they had this past Monday and Tuesday (on the second and third days of this May respectively) advertised with a start time not usually promoted in their overall programming (5:44 p.m.).
- One of the news presenters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Lenise Ligon) used some of the local news programming they had this past Monday to encourage members of their audience who may consider their mothers to be amazing to send videos or messages to her electronic mail address explaining why so that she could include them on their local 4:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.") this calendar week in honor of the Sunday for this week (on the eighth day of this May) being designated Mother's Day in the United States.
- Last Sunday on the first day of this May, one of the local news programs
for WALA-TV ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) had a report member of their
local news operation who usually only presented news for their local
news programming from their broadcast facility in Mobile in recent times
whereas this report had him reporting from a remote location of their
local broadcast area in southwest Alabama named Monroeville (according to his professional Facebook and Twitter pages, he was in Monroeville for a different reason that day; as for his name, it was Bob Grip).
