- An image from a local TV news program for WPMI-TV was used in a proposal for a new "emergency operations center" for Mobile County (the image was part of a sketch for the proposal; as for what the image was about, it was about a character popularized by the local news operations for WPMI-TV and WKRG-TV named "The Crichton Leprechaun").
- One of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Kelly Foster) used their local morning and midday news programs ("Local 15 Today" and "Local 15 News at Noon") and a video recording for her professional Facebook page to acknowledge a designation for celebrating a series of theatrical movies named "Star Wars" this past Wednesday ("Star Wars Day").
