- I was surprised to hear a news reporter for WKRG-TV say the word "crappy" in the context of something being described as inferior as part of a report in which he had cited certain critics of littoral combat ships as having used that word to describe the ships in that sense. I wish he had not used it and simply said that those critics were describing the ships as inferior due to its past connection to a word used to describe feces (it made me wonder whether he had no choice but to say it or else he would have lost his position at WKRG-TV. He may have been forced to use it to get the attention of every one of his listeners and/or provoke reactions both positive and negative).
from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)
