News for Friday, January 2nd, 2015

• The "best of cooking" edition of WALA-TV's local entertainment and lifestyle program ("Studio 10") originally broadcast back on the Friday of last December 26th was broadcast again this past Thursday, January 1st.

• Some of the segments for the aforementioned edition of the aforementioned program had monophonic audio rather than stereo audio like the other segments when they were rebroadcast this past Thursday (the program usually had stereo audio for all of its segments by then). 

• The news presenter for this past Thursday's edition of WKRG-TV's local midday news program (the name of the news presenter was Bill Riales; the name of the program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning") referred to ESPN2 (a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service) as "that other channel" while presenting a report about the scores of a collegiate football game that was still happening by the time he presented it (it involved the football teams for Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin).
