- As of this writing, the TV programming guide for WALA-TV from Zap2it no longer has any listings for a recent local public affairs program of theirs that used to be part of their programming every Sunday titled "Rise and Shine" (the last time it was part of their programming was in November of the previous calendar year).
- The local news agencies Alabama Live and the Mobile Press-Register recently had news articles with vague references to a segment of this past Wednesday's (December 31st) edition of the network TV news program titled "CBS This Morning" in which the artificial MoonPie used to celebrate the beginning of the current calendar year in Mobile was mentioned.
- The Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) was set to have a live broadcast of a collegiate football game expected to take place at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile this Sunday, January 4th, between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. as part of their main programming service (the teams expected for this broadcast represented Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, respectively).
