- One of the producers for WKRG-TV's local news programming appeared on today's edition of their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6") to explain one of its reports about one of the Carnival parades that took place in Mobile today (she rarely appeared on their local news programs before then).
- The Internet content specialist for WPMI-TV used the phrase "Sinclair station" in reference to another TV station with the same parent company as WPMI-TV (KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon) without explaining its meaning in relation to the parent company (the Sinclair Broadcast Group) as part of this past Friday's (January 30th) edition of WPMI-TV's local midday news program ("Local 15 Today").
- This past Wednesday's (January 28th) edition of WKRG-TV's local midday news program ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had a report in which the snowstorm that affected parts of the northeastern region of the United States on the previous Monday (January 26th) and Tuesday (January 27th) was referenced by the name it was given at the Weather Channel, a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service ("Juno" was the name given to the storm).
