News for Thursday, January 8th, 2015
- An administrator for the official Facebook page for WKRG-TV posted a message there about some members of WKRG-TV giving away hot chocolate beverages to members of the public in Mobile's downtown area today.
- One of the news presenters for today's edition of WPMI-TV's local morning TV news program (the name of the news presenter was Darwin Singleton; the name of the program was "Local 15 Today") used the word "executed" to describe how 12 persons at the offices of a publication based in Paris, France named Charlie Hebdo were murdered this past Wednesday, January 7th, without explaining what he meant by his use of that word (see definition of "executed" in regards to killing).
- Another one of the news presenters for the same edition of the aforementioned TV news program (the name of the news presenter was Kelly Jones) used the word "mister" in reference to a member of the House of Representatives of the United States in the position of representing the first congressional district of Alabama named Bradley Byrne (she and other news presenters for WPMI-TV usually only referred to adult persons in news reports by only their last names after the first references to them except for certain persons older than them such as persons at 100 years of age or more).
