- This past Thursday's editions of WALA-TV's local news programs at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m.", "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.", and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had segments about a resident of Daphne, Alabama who was a contestant for the most recent series (or season) of the network TV program "American Idol" (his name was Alex Wilhelm*).
- The news presenter for WPMI-TV's local morning news program ("Local 15 Today") who constantly referred to a certain group of people in a video recording of a past Hangout Music Festival on this past Tuesday's (January 13th) edition of the program did so again on this past Thursday's edition of it (he referred to them as "the dancing three" and "the dancing three amigos" at certain points of the program with the video of them).
