News for Thursday, January 15th, 2015
- This past Thursday's editions of the local 5:00 p.m. news programs produced by WALA-TV, WPMI-TV, and WKRG-TV each had video of a live news conference about two residents of Mobile County accused of causing the death of a child that had belonged to one of them (WALA-TV and WPMI-TV had video of the residents being taken to Mobile Metro Jail live on their respective 5:00 p.m. news programs shortly before the news conference).
- WPMI-TV's main broadcast channel recently had a promotional advertisement about their plan to have the syndicated variety program titled "Steve Harvey" broadcast one hour earlier than usual on a regular basis from Monday through Friday beginning next Monday, January 19th (this means it would be broadcast between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.), due to their plan to have the syndicated variety program titled "The Queen Latifah Show" removed from their regular programming plans for Monday through Friday by then (between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.) and have the syndicated courtroom program "Hot Bench" added to those plans by then (between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.).
- According to the TV programming guides for WJTC-TV from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide, they would still have "The Queen Latifah Show" in their regular programming plans for Monday through Friday after this Friday, January 16th, since both they and WPMI-TV had the rights to broadcast it in Mobile's TV market.
