News for Tuesday, January 27, 2015
- This past Monday's (January 26th) editions of WALA-TV's local 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. news programs ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m" and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") each had a live report from New York, New York about a snowstorm that was happening there and in other parts of the northeastern region of the United States.
- The person who provided the reports about the snowstorm (Yon Pomrenzie of the Cable News Network) answered a "follow-up" question about the snowstorm from one of the regular news presenters for the aforementioned news programs as part of each report (both of the regular news presenters got the chance to ask him a "follow-up" question).
- WPMI-TV's main programming recently had an advertisement with a message about their parent company (Sinclair Broadcast Group, even though the message had an alternate name for them) and organizations specialized in providing information about opportunities for new jobs and referring applications for folks who want them ("Sinclair Communications is looking for
organizations that regularly distribute information about employment
opportunities to job applicants or job applications to refer."). It also had the address for their own company for which these organizations may use to contact their own director of human resources if they want to be notified about new positions in their company.
