• Devon Walsh of WKRG-TV's news department (she was one of the regular news presenters for their local morning and midday news programming) was one of the presenters for a live syndicated program about the celebration of the coming of the new calendar year (2015) that took place in Mobile's downtown area last night (the name of the program was "It's a MoonPie New Year!"). 

• The special local TV program WPMI-TV had on their main broadcast channel (radio frequency channel/virtual channel 15-1) between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. last night ("Prelude to a Championship") was not produced by WPMI-TV, but by WBMA-TV (also known as "ABC 33/40") in Birmingham, Alabama. It was also set to be broadcast by both of them simultaneously (both of them members of the same company: the Sinclair Broadcast Group). 

• WJTC-TV (WPMI-TV's companion station and fellow member of the Sinclair Broadcast Group) was set to have a local TV sports program from WBMA-TV titled "The Zone" in their programming this past Tuesday (December 30th) and Wednesday (December 31st) between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. instead of the syndicated program that was usually part of their programming for that time period from Monday through Friday (a comedic program titled "Anger Management").
