- WJTC-TV was set to have two editions of the syndicated variety program titled "The Queen Latifah Show" broadcast from Monday through Friday on a regular basis beginning with the editions they had in their programming this past Monday, January 19th.
- WGOK-AM (900)/WXQW-AM (660) had gospel music programming take the place of a new edition of their public affairs program titled "Pass it On" this past Sunday, January 18th, shortly after having an announcement about its regular host (Robert Battles) being too sick to host it that day.
- WABD-FM's (97.5) last regular morning radio announcer (Glenn ("Qtip") Johnson) left his position at WABD-FM earlier this January in order to relocate from Mobile to Nashville, Tennessee to live with his wife (Cherish Lombard) since her positions for a local TV station in Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN-TV) required her to relocate from Mobile to Nashville.
