- The main broadcast channels for WALA-TV, WPMI-TV, and WKRG-TV, and the broadcast frequencies for WAVH-FM and WNTM-AM each had special programming (over regular programming) about the person who usually had the role of governor of the state of Alabama since the year 2011 (Robert Bentley) relinquishing it and the person who usually had the role of lieutenant governor since the same year (Kay Ivey) succeeding him.*
- The special programmings for the broadcast frequencies of WAVH-FM
and WNTM-AM mentioned above were hosted by persons who usually hosted
local news and discussion programs for their broadcast operations in
recent times (Sean Sullivan of "Mobile Mornings" and "Midday Mobile" for WAVH-FM and Chris Smith ("Uncle Henry") of "The Uncle Henry Show" for WNTM-AM).
- Some of the local news programs on the main broadcast channel for
WPMI-TV since this past Sunday on the ninth day of this April had
graphics in which the words "governor under fire" and an exclamation point
were used to introduce reports about efforts to impeach the person who
had the role of governor for the state mentioned in the first paragraph
before his relinquishing of the role this Monday.
