News for Monday, July 2nd, 2018

(note: one of the paragraphs in the previous report for this weblog ("News for Sunday, July 1st, 2018") was amended)
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first halves of the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Monday of the second day of this July ("WKRG News 5 at 5", "WKRG News 5 at 10", and "WKRG News 5 at 6:30" respectively) appeared to have had reports regarding certain ways of dying and getting injured and the chances (or "odds") of their happening
  • The main broadcast channels for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV appeared to had been set to have programs other than a certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles named "Gulf Coast Today" that was usually part of their respective programming feeds from Monday through Friday in recent times this Monday (the channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have a paid commercial program (or "infomercial") during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m whereas the channel for WJTC-TV appeared to have a syndicated program named "Sounds of Summer" during the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday).
  • A certain World Wide Web site named SouthernMedia's News Music Search Archive appeared to have had some recordings of some announcements attributed to a certain Jerry Thompson credited as having provided announcements for various programs and advertisements for WPMI-TV since the calendar year 1988 for stations other them (or even their companion station (WJTC-TV) (note: WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV had been companions to each other due to both of them having been part of various holding companies between the calendar year 1988 and this calendar year (including Clear Channel Communications, Newport Television, and the Sinclair Broadcast Group (their most recent holding company))).
  • The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Monday ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Peter Albrecht) saying, "You can catch us at nine o'clock on the Gulf Coast C-W* and of course at ten o'clock right here on WKRG News 5" and its other news presenter (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "See you then" immediately afterwards (note #1: the same part appeared to have had the one named Rose Ann Haven saying, "We thank you for watching News 5 at sixty thirty" immediately before appearing to have had the aforementioned Peter Albrecht saying the statement attributed to him earlier in this paragraph (note #2: the main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV often appeared to have had advertisements in which they were referenced as "The Gulf Coast CW" at various periods of time before this Monday in recent times and a local news program from WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 9:00 p.m. on calendar days other than Saturday and Sunday during those times (note #3: WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV were related to each other due to their being members of a holding company named the Nexstar Media Group))).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Monday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Robby Baker) saying, "Yeah, Rose Ann, you can take this image here and basically photoshop a Golden State Warriors jersey on it if you wish because my man Boogie is indeed teaming up with the likes of Steph Curry, Clay Thompson, and Kevin Durante out in the bay area. So here is how it all went down tonight: the deal, Boogie signed, was worth one year worth five point three million dollars. The Golden State Warriors are shocking a lot of fans here. The Golden State Warriors -- they were able to pull this off  -- that's the shocking part because a lot of people thought Boogie was going to command a max-contract offer this free-agency period; instead he signed a -- signs what was called a mid-level exemption to only make five point three million dollars next year; now that is about twelve million dollars less than what he played for last year with the New Orleans Pelicans, but now he's on a fast-track to an N-B-A title with those Golden State Warriors -- so you got to kind of fact that in as well. Coming up later in sports, we'll break down what this means for a loaded western conference -- remember LeBron signed with the Lakers yesterday, and why they might not even want to play this next N-B-A season -- just give the Golden State Warriors the trophy now -- you might as well" and some disembodied laughter immediately after appearing to have had one of its news presenters (the Rose Ann Haven mentioned in the paragraph above this one) saying, "Breaking news coverage you can count on: former LeFlore Rattler DeMarcus Cousins is making headlines tonight; the basketball star is headed for a new team. Robby Baker joins us now with the latest. Robby" (note: a certain Facebook page related to the sports reporter appeared to have a message attributed to its administration dated for this Monday with a hyperlink to an article on a World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV named "REPORT: DeMarcus Cousins signs with Golden State Warriors").
