News for Sunday, July 8th, 2018

  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had some advertisements during the first two minutes of an hour in which its programming usually appeared to had involved the beginnings of certain installments of a certain program for their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) named "CBS News Sunday Morning" on Sunday in recent times (the hour of 8:00 a.m.) before appearing to have had the program all ready in progress immediately afterwards this Sunday.  
  • The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have had a certain video related to WPMI-TV with audio of a certain announcer saying, "Gator Week" on the Saturday of the seventh day of this July (note #1: some other videos similar to this one appeared to had been uploaded onto some Facebook and Twitter pages related to WPMI-TV by their respective administrations on the Friday of the sixth day of this July (note #2: both pages appeared to have had this message beside the videos: "GET READY : Next week on NBC 15 is GATOR  WEEK!")).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV in the middle of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the sixth day of this July (or between the first and second halves of the hour) appeared to have its news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying phrases such as, "No time, really, to waste in order to rescue twelve boys trapped in a Thailand cave with their coach. We'll have the latest on that mission" and, "The entire world following the fate of twelve boys and their soccer trapped in a cave in Thailand" and some video involving digital graphics and texts of "RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK" and "CREWS WORK TO SAVE STRANDED TEAM".
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel fr WALA-TV during the hour of 6:00 a.m. this Sunday ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.") appeared to have had a certain reporter of theirs (a weather reporter named Adam Olivier) saying this for a report related to weather: "Let's take a look at radar right now, we are seeing those heavier downpours moving on shore as we've gone throughout the morning. Asha was telling me she woke up to some heavy downpours and she didn't want to get out of bed and I don't blame her at all. I would definitely would like to be staying in bed listening to the pitter patter of rain especially if you're on Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan -- some light showers there" (note: the reporter appeared to had been speaking with a certain news presenter for the program named Asha (or Asha Staples to be precise) before then). 
  • A certain digital sub-channel for WHBR-TV (radio frequency channel 34-2/virtual channel 33-2) had ceased to exist by this Sunday whereas a certain other digital sub-channel of theirs (radio frequency channel 34-3/virtual channel 33-3) often appeared to have had an image of some vertical bars (in different colors), some horizontal text of "WHBR 33.3" disappearing and reappearing below some other horizontal text of "WHBR 33.3", and two horizontal rectangles (in different colors) disappearing and reappearing below one of the bars out of sync with the text of "WHBR 33.3" mentioned near the beginning of this paragraph with a certain tone on a persistent basis (note: the first channel mentioned usually appeared to have had programming for a TV programming service named CTN International whereas the second one mentioned usually appeared to have had programming from a service named CTN Lifestyle (update for Tuesday, July 10th, 2018: a sub-channel with the same numbers as the one mentioned near the beginning of this paragraph appeared to had been added to the broadcast signal for WHBR-TV sometime between the second half of the Monday of the ninth day of this July and the first half of this Tuesday (it also appeared to have had programming from the service named CTN International mentioned earlier in this paragraph))).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the sixth day of this July ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter Randy Patrick Setterstrom), saying, "All right, about ten minutes ago, while you were reading the news. I heard...fireworks outside, but those were legal--not the illegal ones we've been listening to for the last twenty-four or forty-eight hours", to one of its news presenters (Mel Showers); the other news presenter saying, "Ah" while appearing to have had the aforementioned reporter saying the aforementioned words attributed to him, specifically between the "outside" and "but", and "The BayBears" immediately after appearing to have had the reporter saying all those words; the reporter saying, "The BayBears, and the game has ended obviously. We'll tell you if they won when we come back" immediately afterwards before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that Friday.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the second half of the hour of 9:00 p.m. and the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the seventh day of this July appeared to have had its news presenter (Shelby Myers) saying, "And a small plane crashes in Baldwin County. What's amazing, though, everyone on board walks to safety", and, "A pilot and four passengers walk away from a plane crash in Orange Beach this morning. The plane descending into a heavily-wooded area north of the wharf near the Foley Beach Express. Today I spoke with a pilot who flew over the wreckage and took some incredible footage. Take a look" before appearing to have had a certain video with digital graphics and texts of "PLANE CRASH" and "NEAR FOLEY BEACH EXPRESS" immediately afterwards; the same news presenter saying, "And a scary scene on board a United Airlines flight after a hard landing at Washing-Dulles International Airport. Take a look at this video [of] a flight from Amsterdam to Washington. People on the plane say ceiling panels began falling on passengers. Flight attendants were unable to help immediately due to safety concerns with the jet during landing. This forced passengers to hold on to pieces of the panel until the aircraft came to a complete stop. Amazingly, no injuries were reported" while appearing to have had some video involving digital graphics and texts of "CEILING PANELS FALL ON PASSENGERS" and "WASHINGTON, DC"; the same news presenter saying, "Shark fishing is about to expand at the Gulf State Park Pier" and "Excitement there" immediately after appearing to have had the beginning of a certain video involving digital graphics and texts of "SHARK FISHING EXPANDING" and "GULF STATE PARK PIER" before appearing to have had her saying, "Starting tomorrow there will be eight days of shark fishing this month; every Sunday and Tuesday in July. The hours are also expanding from seven p.m. to seven a.m.; that should have a lot of anglers super pumped. If you want to get your name on the list to shark fish, you can do it online; just search for Gulf State Park Pier. The number of anglers has been increased from ten to fifteen. Good luck" immediately afterwards; the same news presenter saying, "Soccer's World Cup is down to just four teams now; two quarter final matches earlier today on FOX 10. In the first game, England led Sweden by just one goal. But watch this play and the fan reaction", some video with digital graphics and texts of, "ENGLAND DEFEATS SWEDEN and "WORLD CUP QUARTERFINAL" immediately afterwards, the news presenter saying, "Got to love it. England advances two to nothing. They'll face Croatia who beat Russia on penalty kicks immediately afterwards, some video involving text of "CROATIA BEATS RUSSIA" and "WORLD CUP QUARTERFINAL" immediately afterwards, and the news presenter saying, "Hmm, heart breaking lost for the home team, there" immediately afterwards.
