- WEAR-TV's streams of programming disappeared from their broadcast channels between 8:00 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. today before reappearing sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 9:44 a.m. later that day.
- An image from the last program broadcast on WEAR-TV's main broadcast channel before the disappearance of its stream of programming today froze on Comcast Cablevision of Mobile's standard-definition cable TV channel for providing a standard-definition version of this stream of programming (the name of the program was "This Week", a national network news and discussion program from the American Broadcasting Company (ABC)).
- The news presenter for this past Saturday's edition of WPMI-TV's local
5:00 p.m. news program ("Local 15 News at 5:00 p.m.") on April 18th referred to WBMA-LD
in Birmingham, Alabama as "33/40" as rather than their proper brand
name ("ABC 33/40") after presenting a report attributed to them in that
edition of the program (the name of the news presenter was James Gordon).
