News for Tuesday, April 28th, 2015

• Today's edition of WALA-TV's local 5:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") had a news reporter for the Cable News Network named Polo Sandoval doing a live report from Baltimore, Maryland about some riots that had occurred there recently. 

• The main broadcast channels for WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV had different series of advertisements in between their simultaneous presentations of a local morning news program for Monday through Friday that usually only appeared on the channel for WKRG-TV before the Monday of April 20th (the name of the morning news program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning").

• WKRG-TV and WPMI-TV each had a special local news program with live video of a news conference held by relatives of two boaters found dead in the waters of Mobile Bay since last Saturday, April 25th, take precedence over a syndicated entertainment program on their main broadcast channel today between 4:02 p.m and 4:14 p.m. (the name of the syndicated program that was on the channel for WKRG-TV was "The Big Bang Theory"; the name of the one that was on the channel for WPMI-TV was "Judge Judy").
