• WKRG-TV had a telethon for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama in their local news programming today along with some special reports about the clubs. 

• Earlier today, the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile began providing programming from a digital sub-channel for WKRG-TV that was normally used for broadcasting weather information, including a weather radar and audio from NOAA Weather Radio . 

• A national news reporter referred to WKRG-TV by their brand name in a report about the 50th awards ceremony for the Country Music Association that was part of WKRG-TV's local 10:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 10") this past Sunday, April 19th (the reporter said, "Suzanne Marques in Arlington, Texas for News 5" at the end of the report).
