- Last Friday, April 3rd, the Mobile Press-Register's newspapers for that day had an obituary for a former weather reporter and feature reporter for WKRG-TV named Jere Hough (you may access an electronic version of the obituary on the World Wide Web site Alabama Live).
- WKRG-TV's most recent weather reporter for weekend editions of their local 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. news programs substituted for the regular weather reporter for their local morning and midday news programs for Monday through Friday both today and this past Monday, April 6th (the name of the substitute was Jonathan Owens; as for the name of the reporter for whom he was substituting, it was John Nodar).
